The asada tacos were really good!! I love the flavor as it tasted as authentic Mexican food. I order 3 different flavors: asada, Tinga and Birria and all of they were so flavorful. The Tinga is not spicy for some who like spicy but just as a heads up if you don’t eat be aware . I will definitely be back!!! See you soon
I have been twice and really enjoyed it! The carne asada tacos were my favorite, but the al pastor was a close second. The house margarita was pretty tasty. I enjoyed the salsas as well, everything tasted fresh. I live close by so I will be back!
Excellent food at this place! Everything was full of flavor and tasted wonderful! Their recipes are right on par with my mother's, and she made excellent carne asada! The taquitos were done very well, the guacamole and salsa was flavorful and spicy, I added some the guacamole and is was delish! I also tried their dessert, it was amazing! Cond chocolate cake, with so kind of custard on it with some chocolate sauce drizzled on top! I'm not even sure if that was on the menu, but if it is, you won't be disappointed! 5 stars, all around!

Being born and raised in Mexico and now residing near Chicago Illinois, Little Village Lao known as Little Mexico, I’m always looking for authentic Mexican food when I travel. I’m in town to see my boyfriend nd asked him for a good authentic Mexican restaurant. He’s Panamanian and doesn’t really eat Mexican food, I know, how is he alive lol jk. I went on google and searched, read reviews and found Tacos El Poli, as usual I was right. I’m able to tell not by the reviews but by the pictures and the menu, and the pictures here didn’t do it justice. Service was excellent, our waiter was super nice. As we were ordering, he mentioned tortillas were hand made!! YESSSS!!! I definitely recommend this place and will for sure come every time im in town. Even my boyfriend who las had Mexican food five years ago like the food. Thanks Tacos El Poli. We had tacos, because it’s what I was craving, they had quesadilla de flor de calabaza which was delish and grilled peppers and grilled cactus. Made me feel like I was in Mexico or back home in little village where they have so many authentic Mexican food restaurants.
We have been at this place on several Taco Tuesday, they offer 5 Margaritas during Happy Hour, and the 2 tacos are always good and consistently cooked, as if they have their abuela at the grill, with several options to select from. So yes we really enjoy going there.
We had an amazing meal here. My hubby had flautas pork and chicken. Full salad on top and the flavor was fabulous. Also too much to eat. I had individual taco. I am guessing nothing is bad here. They need 10 stars!!!!
Found my new spot. Food is authentic and delicious. Service was great too. Great place to do a few shots and eat tacos. I'll be back.
